Our client is a global technology management and product development consultancy. They utilise their extensive multi-disciplinary engineering resources to rapidly turn the product concept into a production-ready product through system design, detailed design and product prototyping.

As a principal consultant, you will be expected to become involved with a range of clients across several industries but there will be particular emphasis on growing medical/healthcare sector. This role requires considerable team work and you must be able to demonstrate excellent co ordination and first-rate prioritising skills. You will initiate and manage the sales activities in the medical sector and work very closely with other business developers in the Product Development Business Unit. The candidate will also oversee projects to ensure they are delivered within the set targets and timescales. This is a client-facing role and you will be required to travel both locally and internationally.

The person our client are looking for will have:

·Demonstrable experience in a new business development role in a technology and/or business consulting environment;
·A proven track record of leading and closing sales to deliver significant consulting revenue streams together with a real passion for building cutting-edge technology into commercial products;
·An established high level network in the medical sector and have an understanding of industry issues and the ability to develop a consulting response to these;
·Relevant industry/technology background, eg likely to have worked for a blue chip company in the relevant sector; experience of managing a major technology development programme;
·A good academic track record.
