The successful candidate will have strong academic credentials, an intuitive grasp of fundamental scientific principles, and demonstrable drive and commitment. You will be involved in development of optimised electronics solutions for novel sensor, actuator and display technologies; applying skills to create innovative and effective solutions to real-world problems, working on and leading demanding technology and product development projects; participate in the client interface, communication and management; and taking responsibility for best in class project delivery. You must have a 1st or 2.1 degree in physics or electronic engineering with a PhD from a leading university; electronics experience including practical analogue and digital hardware design, development and analysis skills; very good oral and written communication, presentation, and team skills; and ideally, project management and commercial experience.
