This growing international company seeks a high calibre Principal/Team Lead Software Engineer to work on the development of application software for the measurement and generation of radio signals. This involves interpreting communication standards and converting them to algorithms that are implemented within a Windows application. This application allows users to define and create signals that adhere to various communications standards, for example WiMax and WLAN. You will also be involved with creating libraries and GUIs that control PXI hardware and analysis libraries, which then allow users to analyse signals, generated by devices under test, such as mobile phones. Speed of test is paramount as it accuracy and repeatability.

You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline and should have extensive experience of using C++, as well as experience in designing GUIs in a Windows environment. Knowledge of one or more wireless communication standard such as GSM and WiMax would be desirable, along with strong mathematical ability and OO design skills. You must be able to work well within a team with little or no supervision and have the ability to ‘see the bigger picture’ , develop a concept and implement it, and have experience of leading a team.
