This award-winning consultancy develops exciting new products and technologies used in sectors as diverse as medical devices and remote surgery robots, through to consumer electronics, textiles, satellite communications or Internet of Things infrastructure. They’re seeking an exceptional scientist or engineer to join their team, creating innovative products in a multidisciplinary environment that might include aspects of mechanical analysis, microfluidics, thermal design or control theory.

Key to this role will be a practical understanding of product development. You’ll be able to demonstrate your experience in bringing products to a commercial market, showing that you understand the balance between scientific rigour and a reasoned pragmatism in your approach. Evidence of development for a regulated environment (medical devices, avionics, etc.) will benefit your application.

Additional skills and experience sought will include:

  • a 1st or 2.i in physics, natural sciences or engineering from a leading university;
  • an excellent understanding of fundamentals of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluids – knowledge of further technical areas will be recognised;
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills – as happy working in an intelligent and creative technical team as presenting complex information to a non-technical executive audience.
