They now seek a Scientist or Engineer with engineering materials knowledge and enthusiasm for software to provide technical consultancy services to their wide-ranging customers. The Scientist / Engineer will work closely with technical and commercial teams, and with valued customers to understand their requirements, data, processes and IT infrastructure. The Scientist / Engineer will manage projects, along with training, and design and develop scientific information systems to customer specifications. Travel to customer sites (mainly Europe and Asia) is expected and language skills (ideally German, Japanese) are beneficial. The Scientist / Engineer will have an outstanding Bachelors or higher degree (e.g. PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related science. Excellent presentation, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. Strong computer skills (advanced Excel, VBA and modelling skills), database experience and industry experience are distinct advantages.
