Senior Hardware Systems Engineer (23005)
Do you have a broad interest and ability to design electronics products? The electronics involved in this company’s systems include RF comms modules (e.g. NFC), embedded small scale processors, analogue interfaces, 240v signal monitoring.
Established just over 50 years ago this family firm is highly regarded across the globe as a design and manufacturer of industrial based 3 phase circuit breakers and power monitoring products. This key role is to be based in their small R&D office and will be the hardware lynch pin in evolving the next generation of both customer requested improvements to existing products and furthering the capability of the next generation of products. As the Senior Hardware Systems Engineer becomes more established you will be expected to generate new ideas to keep the company's products fresh and up to date to lead the way in this competitive sector. Product improvements could include the design of new remote monitoring systems, next generation power supplies, near field communication products and so forth to meet market needs. You will be maximising opportunities using a range of skills such as microprocessor based design, analogue & digital design, SMPS design and systems design.
The Senior Hardware Systems Engineer will have a good degree from a reputable university and have solid commercial electronics experience such as analogue (ADC & DAC), digital, RF comms (NFC), power supplies design, embedded processors, CE certification and standards based functionality. You will be interfacing to single and 3 phase mains devices so experience in this area would be an advantage. This may have been earlier in your career or at university. You will have excellent personal communication skills to work with clients worldwide and outside associates.
