This leading product development consultancy are looking for a senior embedded systems engineer to join their product development team, working on embedded software and electronic products.

You should have strong software skills to be able to architect and implement embedded software systems. You should also have experience of electronic design; systems engineering and project management. Candidates for this position will be expected to have good communications skills to work with clients during project work and also to support group sales. In addition you will have:

· A good academic track record, with at least a 2.1 in a related discipline, eg, computer science, electronic-engineering or equivalent
· Solid background with demonstrable experience of project development projects
· Experience of managing projects to tight budgets and timescales;
· Experience of developing specifications and designing from system to detailed level;
· Experience with a range of embedded processors and development tools;
· Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems;
· A thorough understanding of OO design and structured development
