As a senior hardware design engineer you will join a small and ambitious product development team producing new VME, PCI and PMC boards for a range of video, graphics and radar processing applications. Working primarily for the aerospace and/or defence industries you will take ownership of the development of highly specialised products, from requirements capture through to manufacture.

With a good honours degree in a relevant engineering subject, you should offer solid experience in mixed analogue and digital board development and FPGA design. On top of your excellent organisation and communication skills, knowledge or experience of the following would be very advantageous:

• Knowledge of VME or PCI board design
  
• Experience with video, graphics or image processing
  
• Experience with Mentor design tools for schematic capture
  
• Experience in VHDL Verification
  
• Experience of design for test in low volume manufacturing
  
• Experience of high-speed digital signal integrity techniques
