Summary: High calibre Signal Processing Manager required by growing international radio comms company, Hertfordshire, to £70k.

This growing international company specializes in innovative radio communications applications and seeks a high calibre Signal Processing Manager for their UK site, based in Mid Hertfordshire. You will manage the UK Signal Processing team including:
• Strategically directing the group ensuring necessary resource capabilities and competencies exist within the team to execute NPD programs to meet business objectives;
• Facilitating tactical implementation of software DSP systems including algorithm development;
• Working with teams to solve problems;
• Working with Product Marketing team to formulate R & D requirements definition; and
• Working closely with other engineering discipline team leaders to ensure innovative cost effective NPD.

With a good degree in a relevant technical subject, you will possess management acumen with a solid understanding of radio communications systems and standards. You should be knowledgeable and experienced in digital communications, with a fluent understanding of software languages and tools used to develop DSP solutions. You should understand practical implementation aspects and be able to devise practical and working solutions. You should possess an understanding of 3GPP, 3GPP2 and WiMAX standards. Line management experience is essential in this role along with good knowledge of mobile communications and knowledge in software development practices. You should be an expert in debugging and efficiency improvements and be able to produce good technical documents. Experience in the digital (wireless) communications sector is desirable, as is knowledge of WCDMA or DMA.

You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and be able to interact well with customers and staff members on all levels. A good team player, you should have an excellent eye for detail and be able to manage time and priorities well, providing regular progress reports.
