As well as good commercial test experience, the Software Test Engineer will need a good degree (min 2.1) in Science, Maths, Software or Electronics. Proven experience of scripting and programming (ideally Perl) and good understanding of software test methodologies and debug techniques is essential. Desirable: experience in wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB); networking; UNIX/Linux build environments; and exposure to embedded operating systems (Android, Nucleus).
