This is a rare opportunity for a talented Hardware Design Engineer to join a market leader and work as a member of a small, talented R&D team on real-world applications.
Our client is number one in their marketplace - their equipment is used in the most prestigious commercial office developments in the UK, and their technologies are becoming increasingly advanced. It is a demanding field with a direct impact on reducing energy consumption. Due to expansion, they now seek an experience Hardware Engineer to join their Hertfordshire-based development team.
With excellent communication skills, and an impressive academic record (&/or extensive, relevant hands-on experience) you should be able to grasp problems and concepts with lots of detail to generate well-engineered and comprehensive solutions.
You should have a broad range of hands-on design skills - ideally including areas such as:
Sensors - combining passive infra-red, photocell, and micro-controller based systems;
Control - power and control line circuits - analogue and digital, peripheral interfaces, analogue and SMPS;
Digital - micro-controllers, bus drivers, displays, serial interfaces, IP connectivity;
Other devices - switch-plates, displays, audio / video Interfacing.
