As a developer / consultant, you will work as part of a bright, motivated team in a practical hands on role - undertaking new product research, design and development whilst also liaising directly with clients to discuss their requirements - and transferring early stage concepts into low cost products for high volume production.

Only the best need apply - as in addition to a very impressive record of academic achievement (2.1 Minimum, preferably in Physics, Engineering or a similar numerate subject, from a top University) you should also ideally offer practical commercial experience gained in industry, along with good communication skills / client-facing abilities. You should have a strong interest in the practical side of engineering. Although not required, a PhD in a relevant subject could be an advantage.

Your skills should include:

- An outstanding understanding of applied physics and engineering principles.
- Able to work from first principles.
- Ideally, some knowledge of design for manufacture and manufacturing processes.
- Although not a prerequisite, any experience in analogue / digital electronics or power electronics design would be advantageous.
- Practical laboratory or workshop experience.
- Creativity and problem solving skills.
- Good mathematical / analytical skills.
- Self-motivation and an ability to operate with minimal supervision.
