Summary: High calibre engineer with experience of road user charging, vehicle location/transport telematics, sought by top consultancy. Cambridge, to £70k.

With this leading technology consultancy specialising in a wide range of high technology projects for blue chip clients worldwide. This key role is to work directly with clients on a wide range of assignments in the technology area associated with telematics, road-user charging, transport infrastructure, logistics and distribution. You will need to fit in as a member of a small but powerful team. You will demonstrate initiative, drive and willingness to do whatever it takes to help their clients succeed. Although consultancy experience will be valuable, our client is also interested in candidates with demonstrated track records in road user charging / congestion charging / vehicle location / transport telematics, preferably from working within the public sector or a major vendor.

Educated to degree level and with a strong technical background either in embedded technologies or IT, you will be self motivated and target driven, a strong team worker and effective relationship builder with a strong selling and influencing ability. You must be able to demonstrate a solid project/people management track record in a high-tech complex environment and be willing to travel on business. In the majority of cases, assignments will be in the UK but opportunities do exist to work on foreign assignments.
