Specific responsibilities

Minimum requirements

You should be a self-motivated team player who is highly enthusiastic about the drug delivery area.  Significant project management or project leadership experience is essential.

An excellent understanding of medical device development processes compliant with ISO 13485 and QSR is also a key requirement.

Hands-on experience of manufacturing and assembly processes from one off designs to high volume manufacture would be an advantage.

Your specific responsibilities will vary according to your particular expertise but are likely to include:
·	Management of projects from the proposal stage through to the delivery of the project

·	Estimating timeline, resource, budget and key technical risks for proposal preparation
·	Building and managing the project team with the appropriate level of expertise for the proposed work 
·	Reporting technical and financial progress both to the client and internally
·	Leading meetings with clients, give presentations and communicate ideas and concepts to all disciplines 
·	Take the lead in ensuring that projects are run to relevant quality standards including the EU and FDA standards for medical devices and in-vitro diagnostic equipment
·	Take the lead in ensuring that projects meet appropriate safety standards
You will also support the diagnostics business development function, exhibiting and presenting at key conferences and representing the Diagnostics Group at sales meetings.  You will use your strong technical expertise and knowledge to develop relationships with current and future clients.
Minimum requirements 
To meet the requirements of this role you must have:
A proven track record in the delivery of large complex multidisciplinary projects to time and budget within a regulated environment
Experience of managing risk and timeline on development projects with considerable novel content
Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams, often across different client sites and worldwide  
You should have excellent oral &amp; written communication skills
You should be a self-motivated team player who is highly enthusiastic about the diagnostic product development area.
An excellent understanding of medical device development processes compliant with ISO 13485, QSR or experience of a similar quality system such as ISO9001.

In addition, experience of the following will also be beneficial:
Experience in diagnostics either within a product company or consultancy with direct experience of in-vitro diagnostics 
Experience in taking a medical or other product from concept through to launch including scale up and transfer to manufacture.
