ecm have released their latest annual Salary & Benefits Survey. The survey analyses data gathered during the final quarter of 2011, both directly from client companies and indirectly from job seekers, vacancies and placements. Its findings allow companies to compare salary levels and benefits packages, to ensure they retain key staff and continue to attract the most highly sought-after candidates. Amongst other trends, the survey found that salaries paid to attract the best graduates have increased by some £2000-3000. Martin Constantinides, one of ecm’s directors, says: “In the course of our work at ecm, we collect a large amount of data about the salaries and benefits being offered in the local area. We are always happy to provide informal, one to one advice to our clients so they can ensure their salaries and benefits remain competitive. A few years ago we extended and consolidated this by carrying out our first formal Salary & Benefits Survey. “Many ecm clients have kindly participated in these surveys. With our regular, annual survey now very well established, we believe this year's survey will be more useful than ever. We offer a comparison with the results from previous years and look at long-term trends. “Our survey offers a general guide – obviously individual benefits packages will vary considerably with a particular company’s situation. We are happy to continue to provide advice on a case-by-case basis.” Advanced copies of the survey have been sent to participating clients, but it is now available more generally.
