The winner of the 2012 ecm prize for the Best Student on the Cambridge University Computer Science Tripos Part 1B has been announced. Cambridge-based ecm, the UK's leading high-tech recruitment experts for placing high-flying, high-tech candidates, have the privilege of offering an annual prize to the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, the academic department within the University that encompasses Computer Science, along with many aspects of Engineering, Technology and Mathematics. The prize is given to the most outstanding Computer Science student of the third, and final, undergraduate year. It is an annual cash prize of £500. The 2012 winner is Simon Blessenohl of Queens' College. Congratulations to Simon, who is currently undertaking an internship with Microsoft in the US.
