Materials Information Analyst (018848)
Materials, properties and processing, 1st/ 2.1, plus PhD, Cambridge, German or Japanese speaker, to £32k + benefits.
Our client is the expert in materials information, working with commercial and academic clients worldwide. With continued growth, they’re seeking a bright, capable technologist / scientist to play a key role developing materials and process data products: plan, research, build and maintain information resources containing engineering, cost, environmental and other data, and develop modelling capabilities for material and process costs and properties, including eco properties.
With at least a 2.1 Honours and ideally a PhD in Materials, Metallurgy, Manufacturing or similar, you will have a sound understanding of material and processing properties - metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, natural materials - and have excellent computer skills: advanced Excel, VBA and modelling skills. Database and SQL experience is an advantage.
You will have an appreciation for the applications of materials property databases and experience of materials and manufacturing in aerospace, defence, energy, medical, consumer, electrical, electronics, oil & gas, or similar industries.
You will also speak fluent English and either German or Japanese, and have existing permission to live and work in Cambridge, UK.
