FAE - Windows Applications (23015)

This growing company specialises in the design and development of software and hardware solutions for machines processing data at video speeds. This new role is for a Field Applications Engineer to join their expanding FAE team providing customer facing software support via email and phone.

Along with colleagues you will act as the first point of contact for technical customer requests. These may result in significant investigation into issues raised, during this period you will need to utilise your strong written and spoken English skills to work with the customer to find the root cause of the issue.

Many of the customers are overseas so foreign language skills would be an additional benefit. Some overseas travel will be required but it is anticipated this would only be equivalent to one week away each quarter.

As the FAE (Windows Applications) you will have a good technical degree and gained some software or hardware experience. This could be from a test role where you have worked closely with a development team. Alternatively you might have a recent technical PhD where your research required some software development. Ability to read C++ software code would enhance your technical involvement in this role.

You will have an overall understanding of software, electronics and mechanics. Their product runs on recent Windows platforms so good working knowledge of this is distinct advantage. Experience working on video streaming products, printing technology or similar high speed data industry would be an advantage.
