FPGA Engineer, VHDL or Verilog (23194)
This highly innovative, established company specialises in the design and development of leading edge AV and IP solutions. They now seek an experienced FPGA Engineer – VHDL or Verilog to work on a range of next generation products involved in the control of streaming high definition video. Our client uses a mixture of VHDL and Verilog for different projects, so experience with both of these hardware description languages is a plus. The FPGA designer will be expected to work well within a multi-disciplinary development team across a varied range of smaller and larger projects. The versatility to work well in teams or individually and adapt between development-focused and research-focused projects is therefore advantageous.
Many of their development projects push the boundaries of the available hardware, so the ability to create efficient designs in a timely manner is a core requirement for this role. The technologies that they are working with are exciting and technically challenging; there is plenty of scope for innovation for an FPGA Engineer – VHDL or Verilog.
You will have a good degree in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent qualifications and, ideally, you will have experience with video compression techniques, networking hardware up to 10G and/or USB protocols.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in this dynamic development environment at the cutting edge of technology.
