Genuine opportunity for an Experimental Physicist to contribute to the development of complex instrumentation and hardware involving dynamic mechanisms, high-speed signal processing, optics and fluidics. As part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of bright physicists and engineers, the Experimental Physicist will show their inventiveness, hands-on scientific creativity and curiosity
The successful Experimental Physicist will have an exemplary academic record with the ability to use that solid understanding of physics principles to create novel yet simple solutions to complex technical problems.
This new role involves working with highly-qualified colleagues and clients; you must be a strong communicator and be able to demonstrate confidence in your technical competence.
The requirements are:-
- 1st or 2.1 from a leading university (i.e. top A level grades too) in Physics;
- Robust understanding of physics principles;
- Demonstrable creative and innovative streak;
- Excellent experimental ability;
- Experience of, or potential for, project leadership
Other skills of interest are:-
- Experience in product development for commercial applications
- Experience of project leadership;
