Our client is a small team of experienced developers and data scientists who are working on prototype tools to analyse medical genomics data. They work with clinicians and healthcare researchers to develop relevant tools used to understand the complexity behind genetic disorders / diseases.

Work is varied and has a real-world impact – are you interested?

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, maths, physics or similar (a solid understanding of maths is expected)
  • Commercial software development experience with Python and C# / C++ / Java.
  • Experience developing tools on Linux using unit testing and version control.

On top of the above requirements, further experience with big data processing, data visualisation or web development (Angular JS in particular) would be desirable.

The role is suited to a second-jobber software developer; someone looking to get out of finance; or exceptional graduate with commercial software development internships – experience and aptitude to develop new skills are important. The application process is rigorous with technical tests and in-person interviews. In return, there’s an excellent remunerations package including shares and annual bonus.
