Business Development Consultant - MedTech (23578)
An internationally recognised engineering consultancy is expanding their commercial team and is looking for a Business Development Consultant to work in the medical device sector. The role is suited to an established person already working within the MedTech scene, with previous links to pharma and drug delivery companies.
- Build, nurture and grow relationships with key clients.
- Win new business in targeted markets in the medical device industry.
- Work with marketing and senior management on strategic goals.
Interested candidates should have a good degree (1st / 2.1) in engineering or science with subsequent industry experience working in a consultancy on medical device projects (with familiarity of ISO 13485). Further evidenced should be: (1) commercial experience in contract negotiations; (2) a demonstrable industry profile (recognised expertise in the sector through conference speaking, papers or articles); (3) proactive ability to identify new leads and successfully generating new business; (4) experience collaborating with others and leading teams to bid on complex projects.
Moreover, the ability to manage technical product development projects and work within a matrix organisation is essential. This impacts the expected experience to be a team leader and comfortably wear that responsibility.
Projects can be with clients across the world, and so whilst most of your time could be at their offices, some international travel would be expected. In return, an excellent remuneration package is on offer.
