Consultant Biochemist - Applied Science Development (23580)

PhD in biochemistry or molecular biology? [yes] ; Experience in multidisciplinary approaches to scientific applications / tools development [yes] ; Looking to take that next step in your career? [yes]

We’re looking for a specific individual:

• You’ll be bright – likely to have a 1st class BSc degree specialising in life sciences from a top ranked world university and a PhD (where you worked with cutting edge molecular biology tools (CRISPR, NGS, microRNA) and spent time with other disciplined scientists gaining experience in areas such as microfluidics, diagnostics, and protein engineering).
• You’ll also have an innate interest in business and in areas such as IP, which leads to knowledge of current applied life science commercial trends.
• You’ll also want a mixed type of career, and the thought of a consultancy position intrigues you as it balances working with clients as well as technical lab work.
• Ideally if you have gained commercial experience from industry collaborations / placements to founding your own scientific start-up, we’d particularly be interested in hearing from you.
