Principal Research Engineer (23857)

A commercial role for a principal research engineer with expertise in image/video codecs, compression and low latency transmission. A community-facing role working with engineers and partners.

This company have considerable expertise in low latency, high quality digital video. Working close to the hardware, you’d be involved in the next generation of products with both consumer and business applications.

You’ll need:

  • A strong and relevant academic record, potentially including a PhD in video technology
  • Evidence of advanced research and/or commercial practice in the field, preferably including direct involvement developing and/or implementing the latest standards
  • To be looking for a permanent, commercial role with an R&D focus
  • An appreciation for hardware concerns – familiarity with schematics and/or digital electronics design would be a plus
