Technical Liaison, Software for Educating Engineers (24154)

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
£22k - £40k based on experience
Filled

technical and client facing position, software company, education, engineering

If your interests and strengths intersect mechanical (materials) engineering, education, commercial software, business, and working with people, this top Cambridge company may have a position for you.

Our client currently has openings across their expanding education division. They produce highly technical software used during Mechanical Engineering degree programmes around the world, and invest in supporting universities in getting the most out of the software.

In this role, responsibilities include maintaining a good relationship with teaching staff at universities, getting into technical specifics (talking complex software and hard science, with mechanical engineering PhDs and professors!) to advise and offer support, as well as meeting and speaking with university departments considering investing.

Your 1 to 2 page CV will show your:

  • Good degree in materials science or mechanical engineering (if the latter, with a specialty in materials science), from a “red brick” university, and good A-level (or equivalent) grades
  • Credibility (and interest!) in working with educators at top universities
  • Experience with highly technical software
  • Client-facing experience, bearing in mind this role is working with academic clients but from a business perspective and for a software company

Salary depends on experience; in addition, a performance-related bonus and a generous benefits package is on offer to the right candidate.
