Senior QA Engineer, Video Games (24185)

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
to £40k dep. on experience
Filled

video games, senior QA, manual testing, iteration, AAA titles

If you’d enjoy working on the latest and greatest AAA games before they come to market, consider this senior QA role with a top flight games company.

You’ll be a skilled manual tester able to find creative ways of breaking interactive systems, finding edge cases and – most importantly – reproducible steps. You’ll have tenacity, and enjoy your work – gamedev is very iterative so you’ll see many variants of the same theme and you’ll work rigorously with all of them. You’ll regularly report on your work.

As well as a good relevant degree from a reputable university, you’ll have:

  • Commercial experience in software testing and with informally Agile processes
  • Test suite design, execution and maintenance skills
  • JIRA experience for clear reports with reproducible steps
  • An interest in broader responsibilities (for instance, leading on tasks or test projects) in future as your career develops

Previous experience in games testing, technical knowledge of games consoles / PC games, and any interest in video games are all beneficial.
