Do you have a chemistry background, experience in running mass spectrometry experiments and the ability to interpret the results?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mass Spectrometry Technician to work within the development team who design the leading LC-MS equipment. The position will require a diverse set of skills such as physical chemistry, liquid chromatography, ion optics, mass spectrometers and vacuum systems. A greater understanding of analytical instrumentation would be beneficial.

The role would suit a recent graduate with a commercial outlook wishing to transition into an industry based role. You will have an excellent chemistry degree (or similar) from a world-leading university providing you with an in-depth understanding of analytical instrumentation from a user perspective.

In this role you will create tests for prototype R&D systems; generate a build and test environment both in house and for external manufacturing use; also you will build up tests for the software user interface; you will be part of the Engineering Team and as such have their close support.

Based outside the M25 in Surrey, this company offers an excellent opportunity to work in the following technologies: ion optics, vacuum systems, atmospheric / electrospray ionisation and mass spectrometer systems. Experience of these technologies is extremely beneficial enabling you to assist in product development.
