Senior Physicist (Experimental / Instrumentation) (24250)

This multidisciplinary, scientific company is expanding and is looking to grow their Physicist team. Due to on-going and future projects, they are keen to hire a Senior Physicist to join their scientific team. The role will be a combination of hands-on R&D and project leadership with a strong focus on creative problem-solving for complex technical challenges for medical / healthcare applications. Broad applied knowledge is paramount, as well as the ability to work with engineering and other scientific disciplines.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background (1st or high 2.1 + Masters) in physics from a top ranked Russell Group university (or equivalent ranked non-UK institute). A PhD or postdoc experience in experimental physics would be advantageous.
• Demonstrable project experience (ideally within an industry environment) building scientific instrumentation (such as test rigs, microscope components, inkjet) that is based on optics / lasers, microfluidics, control electronics or surface chemistry.

Furthermore, strong communication skills, and the understanding on how to dissect a problem and lead projects to complete tasks is important. In return, an excellent remuneration package is on offer.
