Python / C++ / Java, Tessellations, Machine Learning Implementation

Have you a top academic pedigree – graduating in computer science, engineering or similar from a top world-ranked university? Are you keen to work within a research environment, implementing highly mathematical models in code?

We’re looking for a bright Research Engineer to join a small team of Engineers and Scientists working on innovative mapping technologies to support the company’s wider reaching ambitions in machine learning driven navigation.

Requirements:

  • 1st / 2.1 (or equivalent) degree in computer science (or highly numerate subject) plus relevant Masters (PhD holders are preferred).
  • Significant applied experience programming in Python, C++, or Java for real-time applications.
  • Specific experience in mapping or spatial databases would be desirable (such as tessellations and multi-resolution grids).

This is not a small project – how to incorporate highly complex data and implement this in code is central to this role. This should be combined with knowledge of key algorithms used to underpin these technologies. In return, you can expect an excellent remunerations package and work on the latest technologies.
