Experienced Systems Architect (24419)

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Software Developer with leadership experience to take ownership of development activities (including coding, modelling and analysis in an agile environment), researching new concepts, architectures and product directions and then bridging from research to design through prototyping, proof of concept implementations, modelling and analysis.

This established international client is the leading provider of smart technology at the heart of many critical data centre architectures. Their products are widely used in scale-out server environments such as electronic trading, high performance computing, cloud, virtualization and big data.

As Systems Architect, based at their Cambridge R&D centre, you will extend R&D activities in the areas of scale out architecture, heterogeneous computing, software defined infrastructure and data centre scale operating systems for Terabit edge computing.

The role can be tailored for the right candidate who is self-starting, prepared to show initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. However, in addition to an impressive academic record (or significant equivalent design and development industrial experience in systems and networking) you should have solid skills in large scale networks, operating systems and distributed systems; experience with SoC environments: FPGA, GPGPU and embedded processing; wide-ranging coding skills including C/Python/C++ and knowledge of performance tuning and benchmarking.
