Do you want to be an early joinee of a ML applied technology start-up? Our client is working with established industry partners and Cambridge University to deliver a complete ecosystem platform for data analytics based on the IoT.

Led by serial tech-preneurs, they are growing their Cambridge based team and are looking for ambitious, technology-savvy software developers to join them.

Requirements:

  • Academically bright – likely to have a 1st / 2.1 in computer science, maths, physics or similar from a top ranking UK university or equivalent. An advanced degree (MSc / PhD) based in computing would be desirable.
  • Must have commercial experience developing server-side applications including building Java APIs and experience with functional patterns, actor model, network stacks, parsers and syntax trees.
  • Will have tackled problems involving distributed systems.
  • Ideally have familiarity with JavaScript or other web-based applications.

The role would suit someone who has start-up experience and possibly is looking for their second or third position. The technology is radically different, and so the company are keen to hire open-minded developers who are keen to work on innovative platforms – embracing machine learning applications, whilst balancing robustness in their coding.
