Based at their offices in west Cambridge, this innovative company is developing new technologies that look to impact both engineering and scientific problems. They have recently secured the latest round of investment, and are using this to fund their growth and further advances with their projects. Work encompasses projects based on instrumentation hardware, microcontrollers as well as image and data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic record including a first degree in computer science, electronics, physics or similar from a well-regarded university. A Masters or PhD would be desirable.
  • Post-graduate industry-experience as an OO programmer, ideally on broad range of projects especially working with hardware, high-speed data acquisition, and/or image processing algorithms.
  • Will have experience with C#.NET and have exposure to most of the following: control systems; C++, embedded C, Python, LabVIEW.

This role is not to sit in a separated software group, but rather be part of a larger, multidisciplinary team. You could work on several projects concurrently, lending your expertise to a wide range of interesting problems to solve in biology, engineering, physics or maths. Having an open mind and being keen to challenge yourself on technical work is central to this role – in return, you can expect an excellent remuneration package.
