Principal UX Engineer (24577)

An experienced front end developer with exceptional GUI design skills is required to lead and inspire their UX/human factors team in developing responsive ergonomic user interfaces to complement their state-of-the-art cybersecurity technology.

Working with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary development team, you will be instrumental in re-imagining and re-implementing the user interface driving our client’s embedded systems; playing a key role in their continued success by equipping their products with internationalised, user-friendly cross-platform user interfaces.

The role will involve liaising with clients, product and programme managers to define requirements and delivery goals, and working closely with other developers and test engineers to ensure the timely delivery of beautifully engineered, rugged software. You will be involved throughout the development life cycle, and be engaged in project planning, requirements capture, and team leading as well as implementation and debugging of complex interfaces. You will need to be a technology fanatic, evangelising and spreading the message of new technology, design excellence and engineering best practice.

Your CV will need to demonstrate:

• A 1st or 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related subject from a well-regarded university (a higher degree would be a bonus).
• Substantial commercial experience involving the development and architecting of complex user interface software.
• Experience in SaaS, strong development skills including JavaScript, AngularJS4, HTML5, CSS3, and REST.
• Expertise in UX/UI design and architecting along with a strong grasp of human factors engineering including techniques such heat mapping and A/B testing.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
