Embedded Linux Developer (24725)
Our client is a recent start-up that develops very high performance communications equipment for the home market. After a successful launch they are now looking to build upon their initial product, making the development slicker and more flexible, and adding exciting new user features.
To help them bring their future plans to fruition they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic embedded engineer with strong expertise in the following:
- A good degree in a technical subject (Computer Science is ideal) from a well-respected university
- Embedded Linux build configuration, especially buildroot or OpenWRT
- Excellent coding skills with C or C++ in an embedded context
- Scripting skills - Lua preferred
- Solid understanding of kernel and device driver development, and software security
You should be able to demonstrate these skills with significant commercial experience or contributions to open source projects. Publicly visible projects on GitHub or similar will also be advantageous.
This is a great chance to join this dynamic company at an early stage and make a big contribution to their success. They work on some of the latest available technology, operate in an exciting application area, and are located conveniently close to Cambridge city centre. As a recent start-up they are unable to offer sponsorship, so you will need full right to work in the UK without restriction or time limit.
