C++, STL, difficult computational problems & algorithm design

Can you offer a good knowledge of C++ and the STL, and excellent problem solving abilities? Do you, ideally, have exposure to electronic design automation?

This is a superb opportunity to further progress your career whilst remaining in a hands-on / cutting-edge role, working within a small self-contained division of a large well-respected company. They offer incredibly challenging work on difficult computational problems, and a fun working environment.

In this role you will explore high-level algorithm sketches to produce workable ready-to-implement algorithms, then specify the required interfaces to the code. In addition to a top academic record, you should have solid C++ / STL knowledge and ideally proven technical ability in the EDA space or other related areas (logic synthesis, low-power/high-speed logic design, physical optimization techniques, etc). Any knowledge of / exposure to the following areas would be particularly useful: digital logic design, from FPGAs or ASICs / ASIC design flows / Verilog or VHDL / Tcl. Python or similar scripting languages.

This is a fantastic chance to join a top technology company that has a friendly team and relaxed working environment in a great location with superb transport links.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
