Antenna Design Engineer (25234)

Are you an experienced Antenna Design Engineer looking to work on novel solutions across a range of sectors?

Supported by state-of-the-art electromagnetic simulation software and sophisticated test and measurement equipment, you will be designing a wide range of unique and bespoke antenna solutions for UK and international clients. In recent years, industry has pushed the boundaries of the operating frequencies for radio systems in order to satisfy greater bandwidth requirements. Consequently, you will be involved with the development of cutting edge RF systems (including communications and radar) to achieve high performance operation in microwave and millimetre wave bands. Depending on the application, your work could require the design of large scanning arrays, highly efficient fixed beam antennas or even low-profile wideband elements. You will be involved in projects from the initial concept, participating in client meetings and setting out requirements, through to design for manufacture.

Knowledge of a wide range of antenna techniques, array theory and experience of electromagnetic simulation are essential. An understanding of microwave circuit and system design is also desirable to enable seamless integration. You must be comfortable participating in sales and project meetings with clients and able to generate technical responses to bids and tenders. You should have a good technical degree or an equivalent qualification and you should have genuine enthusiasm for problem solving.
