Manufacturing Engineer (23485)

We are looking for a pro-active Manufacturing Engineer to join a product company developing cutting-edge products for the pharma and healthcare industries. In this role, you’ll relish the challenges faced between R&D and introducing products.

You will have extensive, successful commercial experience in a high technology manufacturing or assembly business and have the ability to demonstrate a significant personal contribution to a growing business or technology. You’ll have a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical and process engineering principles and the relevant product development experience with a hands-on approach to solving problems; in-depth understanding of how to ensure the efficient operation of a manufacturing facility; and the confidence to stand your ground where there is a quality issue. You’ll have good personal communication skills to deal with both suppliers and customers. Above all your key technical strength will be CAD work for either mechanical and/or PCB design.

Background required:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing processes and transferring new products into production
  • Mechanical or Engineering degree (1st or 2.1 from a top university)
  • Complex systems comprising electronics, software, mechanics and optics
  • Significant exposure to Lean / modern manufacturing processes
  • Experience of change control and supplier management
  • Previous close and effective liaison with R&D
