Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
to £33k DOE plus benefits

break into software development, C++, connected devices, Cambridge

Are you a budding scientist or researcher who has made good use of C++ during your studies or your own projects, and who would like to pursue a career in software? Or an up and coming developer looking for a more challenging (and interesting) role?

This award-winning company are experts in connected interactive devices, with application in wireless arenas, for people on the move and in VR. Their developers are taking advantage of the latest hardware, so they get to work with advanced technology at quite a low level, and push the hardware to achieve great things.

This is a rare opportunity to have a company invest in you as an individual, and to hone your skills as you work. You will bring relevant expertise and enthusiasm:

  • A good degree in a technical/engineering subject from a top university; for example, physics, mathematics, or computing
  • Confidence coding in (and enjoying coding in) C++, whether writing numerical / algorithmic programs or significant personal interest / hobby projects
  • A keen interest in becoming a software developer, in learning how hardware really works, and in taking advantage of it to push boundaries and make great products for real people to use in their daily lives

Any additional experience you have in code optimisation, low level coding, cryptography, wireless/wired networking and/or data compression would be beneficial.
