This Cambridge-based company is seeking a Software Developer, with expertise in Linux-based C and C++ and commercial experience with high-bandwidth data transfer in real-time systems. With multiple awards and widespread recognition for their products already, this company has been a technology leader in data and video acquisition systems. Their software has become the industry standard across high profile motorsports, and is increasingly being translated into domestic products and technologies in other markets.
They are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their established team. Candidate CVs must show:
- commercial experience developing (embedded) applications on a Linux platform in C and C++;
- confidence working in resource constrained environments with high data flows and throughputs;
- knowledge of common cross-platform UI libraries such as Qt or GTK;
- familiarity working with video formats, processing and codecs.
Further experience with automotive systems, CAN bus interfaces or developing GUIs would be welcome, and our client is expecting a strong academic record underpinning your experience: a 2.1 Hons or better in Computer Science (or related subject) from a Russell Group (or equivalent) university, with good A-level grades should be evidenced on your CV.
On offer is a generous remuneration package, and opportunity to work in a fast-paced and exciting team of smart developers and engineers on technology that will be used worldwide in high-profile events. Candidates should send a CV detailing their experience, so get in touch if you think you have the right background we’re looking for. We regret that our client can only consider candidates who already have unrestricted right to work in the UK, without restrictions or the need for sponsorship, in place.
