Surrey

hardware, electronics, ASIC, FPGA, VHDL, embedded, 1st / 2.1, Surrey

Please note: due to the sensitive nature of some of the work carried out by this client, we are only able to consider British nationals (preferably resident in the UK) for this position.

This Surrey-based company is one of the leading names in creating unique solutions to challenging problems across aerospace, DSP, control or defence projects. They’re now seeking the brightest graduates to join their dedicated team, bringing in fresh experience with hardware or electronics.

Candidates will need to have an excellent academic background (at least to Master’s level) in electronics, engineering, or natural sciences, having attended some of the highest-ranked universities in the world. You’ll also need to demonstrate a passion for electronics or hardware design, working with a spectrum of technologies. You’ll likely have picked up a soldering iron as a teenager, are comfortable at a lab bench debugging circuits, and you’ve probably got a string of hobby projects with microcontrollers, FPGAs or Arduinos behind you.

There’s no single set of skills that our client is looking for, but many of the following would be great to see:

  • RF circuit design and analysis;
  • hardware design and development in ASICs, FPGA or VHDL;
  • DSP or computer vision algorithm design and implementation;
  • embedded systems programming, C or C++; or
  • use of higher-level languages for UI or control systems.

On offer is a generous salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to work in a focussed team on varied and challenging projects. Working in a collaborative and supportive environment, you’ll also quickly take on responsibilities for managing projects and clients, and have the chance to develop and gain new skills in software or hardware. But you’ll have to be one of the best to be considered by this company. If you think that’s you, don’t hesitate to apply now!
