A leading Cambridgeshire biotech firm has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. Their successful products combine mechanical, electronics, sensor and control systems to deliver powerful analysis tools used for research across the scientific community. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have the opportunity to evaluate product designs at all stages of development, and be a driving force in determining the direction and scope of new products.

Candidates will need to demonstrate commercial experience with:

  • a broad range of electro-mechanical, biochemical, and sensor product design;
  • common fabrication methods, including injection moulding and CNC;
  • system architecture design and development;
  • team leadership and project management of new product design.
    CVs will also need to evidence excellent and concise technical communication skills, as well as a superb academic foundation to your career, with a minimum 2.1 from a leading Russell Group (or international equivalent) university.

Successful candidates will enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package, working in modern and pleasant R&D spaces within easy access of Cambridge, London and the surrounding areas. Candidates will need to already have permission to work in the UK without restriction or need for sponsorship.
