A trailblazer in the home entertainment industry is seeking an experienced firmware engineer who has in-depth knowledge of SoC development and integration using the embedded Linux platform. Experience of shipping high quality software on embedded platforms is essential to succeed in this highly visible role, which would suit a motivated professional, who is happy taking ownership of challenging work.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy working “hands on” as part of an ambitious team. They will also have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience

  • 3+ years of relevant commercial software development experience

  • Solid knowledge of audio / video streaming protocols and media playback engines

  • Extensive experience in systems programming with C/C++

  • Thorough understanding of Linux, tools, libraries and open source development
