Solving complex problems using disruptive life-science technologies

This varied role is ideal for an experimental physicist or engineer with experience in the life-sciences field. You will be somebody with a creative and inquisitive mind, who can make that connection between an interesting phenomenon in the lab and potential for a ground-breaking development in life science instrumentation or diagnostics. Alongside a clear experimental, hands-on approach, the ideal biophysicist will have a strong theoretical foundation with the ability to solve complex problems through accurate analytical work.

The successful bioengineer will form part of a successful and growing company working in the life sciences sector with a group of ambitious and talented engineers and physicists.

Your technical background and personal qualities should include:-

  • A 1st or 2.1 undergraduate degree in physics, engineering or similar from a highly-ranked university
  • An experimental PhD or equivalent industrial experience in a life-science related field
  • A multi-disciplinary approach to solving problems at the interface of physics, engineering and biology
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop collaborative relationships with your colleagues and clients

This role is open to a range of candidates from PhD to experienced; those who are more experienced will be expected to demonstrate their leadership and commercial insight.
