Would you like to be involved in the development of Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence that benefits human health?

Our award winning, Cambridge based client is seeking talented software engineers, to play a vital role in a new team developing tools and techniques to manage critical data. Together with experienced developers, testers and application specialists, you will be working on a Python-based technology stack and using open source libraries and tools to enable the rapid discovery of knowledge from text.

You would be working in a friendly and flexible environment, with the energy of a start-up but the security of a fully flourished company, expanding globally. You would be an enthusiastic person, with a fervour for producing high-quality code, as well as possessing a mastery of software engineering fundamentals and good practice. Perhaps most importantly, you would also be a pragmatic person, adept at prioritizing tasks, who knows how to get stuff done.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Excellent coding skills in Python as well as familiarity with Linux systems
  • Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible and Docker
  • Full software lifecycle skills such as: OO design, design patterns, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • The ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong attention to detail

You will also need to be degree qualified in Computer Science, Maths or similar technical subject, with good A-level grades, and full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
