Creating new intuitive features and functionality for a sophisticated data visualisation toolkit, adopted by companies around the world, is at the core of this role with one of Cambridge’s award winning success stories. If you enjoy finding simple solutions to complex visualisation challenges, then please read on.

You will be asked to scope out requirements, design and create code for new features, prototype, test and resolve issues, in order to bring excellence and ease of use to their products. You will be expected to have and to voice your opinions on software architecture and API design. Additionally, you will be keen to advance your established programming skills, whilst enabling others in the team to do the same.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Excellent React programming skills, with good knowledge of JavaScript, NodeJS, Redux and Webpack
  • Evidence of your ability to deftly manage large amounts of data and code
  • A good understanding of applications and test frameworks

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience of graph databases, such as Neo4j
  • A background in data visualisation or analysis, preferably with UX and or UI techniques
  • Good technical understanding of full-stack development as well as some Linux skills

You will need to be bright and enthusiastic, with a good degree (2.1 or above) in Computer Science or similar subject, and strong A-levels. Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship will also be required.
