This hands-on design role calls for an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join a small and friendly team based in Cambridge, UK. The company is successful and secure – involved in the design and development of leading-edge audio / video based products for a range of markets.

In addition to strong educational record in a relevant subject, as a Senior Electronics Engineer you should have extensive Hardware Design / Development experience, focusing primarily on Digital Design using Embedded Microprocessors, FPGAs, DDR SDRAM, along with some general exposure to Analogue design (Signal Conditioning, Power Supplies for example) across the product development lifecycle.

Ideally your skills will include: Audio and Video interfacing / HDMI, Embedded uP Digital Design, the use of FPGAs, product prototyping & debugging. You will also be well versed in the use of standard test equipment – and happy even to pick up a soldering iron now and again.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer / Senior Electronics Engineer within a small team, your role will include the full design and development of video and audio oriented products for a variety of platforms; investigating and debugging any hardware issues; liaising with third party manufacturers and the developing new product features.

Due to the nature of the work, the role could involve occasional overseas travel. Any experience in the design and development of set top box related products would be particularly relevant.

In addition to a competitive salary depending on experience, the role also offers a very attractive bonus scheme.
