Cambridge based tech darling developing innovative Linux tools

Engineering is at the heart of this well-funded tech company who not only have attracted investors in their latest Series B funding round, but also a healthy customer book (interested in their innovative products).

They are currently expanding and are keen to recruit a couple of graduate developers to join their team.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background – likely a 1st Class degree in computer science, electronics or similar from a Russell Group university (or equivalent non-UK university).
  • Programming experience with C on Linux including exposure to the kernel, x86, debuggers, assembly or compilers.
  • Additional experience with Python would be desirable.

This is not a grad scheme or your usual graduate software role – whilst the company provides mentorship for junior members, they want all members of the engineering team to take responsibility of projects, and this can include technical ownership. This meritocratic approach provides empowerment to the team and engagement within the company. This can then lead to overseas travel and meeting customers on occasion.

Interested? – CV applications should provide full academic disclosure as well as your relevant project experience and technical skills. It is expected that you have extracurricular projects (possibly internships) that can evidence your passion and interest in Linux / Open Source development (just showing your university courses and grades is not enough).

On offer is a top package including a very heathy start salary. More importantly, there is the opportunity to really hone your technical skills with top Linux experts and work on interesting projects.
