A new fast moving start-up in Cambridge is looking to find a bright, enthusiastic Senior or Principal Process Chemist to join them for the next stage of their growth.

Their product offers exciting developments enabling drastic reduction in waste and CO2 emissions for the textile industry, whilst also having potential to positively impact food and sustainable digital manufacturing methods.

The new technology encompasses chemistry, fluid dynamics, materials and surface science and is best suited to Senior / Principal Process Chemists with drive and energy, who enjoy hands-on, creative research. Experience of research and development work and efficiently taking the leaps to scale-up to manufacturing whilst reliably delivering excellence, will also be necessary.

The Senior / Principal Process Chemist will be expected to have the following skills and experience:

  • At least three years commercial experience backed by a PhD and a good degree (2.1 Hons or above) from a well-respected university.
  • Experience in colourant, ink, dyes, colloid or soft materials chemistry.
  • Materials science, particularly textiles
  • Good experience with a range of physical surface and / or optical measurement techniques.
  • Experience with development work and / or scale-up to manufacture

Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship will also be required.
