Complex control and fluid system design / prototyping for new green technology

A growing local start-up company seeks a Mechanical Engineer to help develop their advanced digital technology, supporting sustainability in the manufacture of textiles. Their energy-saving technology will significantly reduce the amount of waste water and greenhouse gases produced in the manufacture of state-of-the-art materials and coatings. This has potential to improve the sustainability of, not only the textile industry, but ceramic, food and electronics industries too.

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the continuing development of specialised digital fluid system control equipment. They should be skilled in CAD, have experience in designing and building prototypes as well as taking those products through to manufacture. They will thrive working in cross-functional teams, knowing their expertise and contributions will have tangible, positive, real-world outcomes.

Whilst based in our client's modern R&D centre, travel to support teams based in Asia may also be necessary in this position.

Interested applicants who are degree qualified Mechanical Engineers with commercial experience in product development and manufacturing, along with design and CAD (SolidWorks) experience, would be a good fit for this position. They should also have at least two of the following skills:

  • Complex control systems and automation experience
  • Fluid system design
  • Design for test, regulatory control and manufacture

This is a key role for the company and candidates with immediate or short notice availability are encouraged to apply.

Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship is also required.
