Creating a reusable Angular framework for scientific software

If you enjoy cutting code in TypeScript or JavaScript, you’d like to work on scientific software, and you like reuse, frameworks or architecture, this could be the one for you. You’ll work as part of a friendly, Agile team on a new front-end framework used by a whole suite of applications. This highly regarded company were originally a Cambridge University startup, have many years of success and a worldwide audience.

You’ll need:

  • A good knowledge of Angular (React, Vue, etc. also considered)
  • An equally good knowledge of either TypeScript or modern JavaScript (ES6+, ECMAScript 2015 or newer)
  • Experience as part of a commercial Agile software development team
  • Good fundamentals in LESS or SASS (or similar), CSS, AJAX, and of course HTML5
  • An interest in modern tools and processes (for example, NPM, Bower, Grunt, Gulp, Jasmine, Protractor)

You’ll be independent and communicative, and someone keen on high quality, reusable code; if you also enjoy visual design of user interfaces, that is a bonus. You’ll also need a good degree in a scientific or technical subject from a well-regarded university, and good A-level grades.
